Activision has thirty songs in store for the 80s expansion pack Guitar Hero: Rocks the 80s. We'll get to relive the 80s this summer, but only on PlayStation 2. I'm the first one to condemn Guitar Hero greediness, but why not throw some downloads at the 360? Here's the seven they've announced so far:

* "I Wanna Rock" (by Twisted Sister)
* "I Ran" (by Flock of Seagulls)
* "Round and Round" (as made famous by Ratt)
* "I Want Candy" (as made famous by Bow Wow Wow)
* "Metal Health" (as made famous by Quiet Riot)
* "Holy Diver" (as made famous by Dio)
* "Heat of the Moment" (as made famous by Asia)

Whenever I was in the car with my parents in the 80s and I heard a cool song on the radio, I'd ask who the band or singer was. It didn't matter if it was a male or female group or singer, for some reason my parents would always think it was Meat Loaf, and that was the answer I would get. Just as you reach into the fridge for two week old leftovers, and are unsure of what primordial ooze you grabbed, but call it meat loaf and microwave it anyways, I've come to know all of 80s music as simply Meat Loaf musical leftovers. Prices haven't been discussed for the Guitar Hero expansion yet, but I can't pass up thirty helpings of Meat Loaf. What other tracks are you expecting to see make the list?

So here comes the first game to be cross platform playable. But from what I'm seeing on all the media sites, the game is lackluster at best. I'll probably pick up the Vista version, if it follows suit with a lot of titles and comes with the lower price point.

Join GameFly and save some cash. Honestly I am buying new games from GF all the time, for about $25 less then they cost in stores. It's a great deal over all. But just a fair warning if you live on the East Coast, like I do, then expect about 4 days for the games to travel through the mail. Since they added Fast Return I've noticed I'm able to get a lot more gaming done, but still nothing like if I lived in CA...

The June issue of Game Informer magazine is where one can read about Square-Enix’s new IP (not a milking of an existing Final Fantasy property) The Last Remnant. The latest Square-Enix RPG will be a single player RPG directed by Hiroshi Takai, better known for his role as game planner in The Bouncer. The Last Remnant will feature two characters who will appeal to each of the game’s audience; Rush (traditional Square-Enix hero) who will appeal to the Japanese gaming audience, and The Conqueror (dark/anti-hero) will appeal to the Western gaming audience. The best part of this new IP? It’ll make use of the Unreal Engine 3 which Square-Enix licensed a while back.

Now this is something I'm getting excited over. I just wish I had a copy of the June Game Informer magazine so I could see the images that go with it. I've been both a Square and Enix fan growing up, but I mist admit that most Enix games didn't hold my interest for long. Now with Unreal3 graphic engine and more of a action oriented battle/gameplay system I'm looking forward to this. After all the other other choice is going to be one of the thousand flavors of FF13 that are going to be out for the next 10 years.

I've done this a few times, but never with so many PCs. Lots of fun! Slow news day, but something good should be coming down the pipe soon.

Now if this game came out with a $30 price tag, I'd buy it again. But at $50 I think I'll hold off. I think the video trailer makes it look more appealing to me, even more so then Halo 3. Seeing as how I've already beat the game with the non-ending, I think I'll be passing on this.

Not much to report today, besides that SpiderMan 3 was a disappointment. So instead I'll share this video with you.
