The June issue of Game Informer magazine is where one can read about Square-Enix’s new IP (not a milking of an existing Final Fantasy property) The Last Remnant. The latest Square-Enix RPG will be a single player RPG directed by Hiroshi Takai, better known for his role as game planner in The Bouncer. The Last Remnant will feature two characters who will appeal to each of the game’s audience; Rush (traditional Square-Enix hero) who will appeal to the Japanese gaming audience, and The Conqueror (dark/anti-hero) will appeal to the Western gaming audience. The best part of this new IP? It’ll make use of the Unreal Engine 3 which Square-Enix licensed a while back.

Now this is something I'm getting excited over. I just wish I had a copy of the June Game Informer magazine so I could see the images that go with it. I've been both a Square and Enix fan growing up, but I mist admit that most Enix games didn't hold my interest for long. Now with Unreal3 graphic engine and more of a action oriented battle/gameplay system I'm looking forward to this. After all the other other choice is going to be one of the thousand flavors of FF13 that are going to be out for the next 10 years.

I've done this a few times, but never with so many PCs. Lots of fun! Slow news day, but something good should be coming down the pipe soon.

Download Trailer HereNow if this game came out with a $30 price tag, I'd buy it again. But at $50 I think I'll hold off. I think the video trailer makes it look more appealing to me, even more so then Halo 3. Seeing as how I've already beat the game with the non-ending, I think I'll be passing on this.

Not much to report today, besides that SpiderMan 3 was a disappointment. So instead I'll share this video with you.

The map the boy designed mimicked Clements High School. And, sources said, it was uploaded either to the boy’s home computer or to a computer server where he and his friends could access and play on it. Two parents apparently learned from their children about the existence of the game, and complained to FBISD administrators, who investigated.
“They arrested him,” Chen said of FBISD police, “and also went to the house to search.” The Lin family consented to the search, and a hammer was found in the boy’s room, which he used to fix his bed, because it wasn’t in good shape, Chen said. He indicated police seized the hammer as a potential weapon.
“They decided he was a terroristic threat,” said one source close to the district’s investigation.

Now for years, I thought about making a map of my school/work, not because I wanted to simulate a mass shooting, but because I knew the architecture of building. If I wanted to make a mod I would use something I know before I moved on to something I didn't. Instead I made a map of my apartment. Not very exciting, nut still, you get my point.
And a hammer as a potential weapon? Give me a fucking break!

The biggest is that Team Ninja apparently have an exclusive new Dead or Alive game in the works for the Sony console. Also interesting is that Capcom is apparently remaking the original Mega Man with new graphics for download on PSN. And for RPG fans, Nippon Ichi is working on a new Disgaea for PS3 and Square Enix has a new Kingdom Hearts coming -- though it won't be Kingdom Hearts 3 (that will be coming later).
That is taken from EGM. I would love to see a Mega Man remake, but if they are doing it, they should do a remake of Mega Man 2. That was the best of the series in my opinion as well as many other Mega Man fans. As for a new DOA for the PS3, bleh, who cares. After the disappointment that DOA4 on the 360 was to me (I loved DOA2 on the DC), I think only people who want to see boobs bounce will get it.
Now a Kingdom Hearts game for the PS3 is a selling title. That coupled together with a few others would actually get me to buy a PS3 at $599. Until I see either a larger list of titles or the price drop, the PS3 is still fantasy land for me.

Reserve some stupid crap that you know you don't need to. I went in to GameStop this past Monday to buy Guitar Hero 2. When I was told it was out of stock, they tried to get me to pre-order Rock Band that is due out this fall. Good catch, you found a game I might be interested in that is coming out THIS FUCKING FALL! The snow just left the grass about 2 weeks ago, so I'm not even going to consider putting cash down on a game. Not to mention that I'm here NOW to buy a game, not one 6-8 months from now. Here's the answer:

Buy it Here
