Mario Strikers Charged
Monday, May 21, 2007, 04:48 PM

Now I'm not a real soccer fan, but this trailer has got my interest. Maybe once I finally get my hands on a Wii I can try it out and see if it has enough Mario inspired innovation to keep me playing.

Xbox 360 Bans in Effect
Friday, May 18, 2007, 03:20 PM

If you see this message, Microsoft has banned you. I'm very glad i didn't mod my 360 as I did my Xbox. I got banned there and that sucked. I enjoy playing online with my friends too much to risk modding my system. If you got banned, don't whine, you knew it was going to happen.

WoW on the go
Thursday, May 17, 2007, 02:54 PM

Now if I still was addicted to WoW, I would be pissing my pants right now. This would be the best thing in the world for me to have. It doesn't look like raiding/higher level combat would work well enough, but I could travel and do all my AH stuff with it. This is what I was hoping the iPhone would be capable of.

Heavenly Sword Trailer

Maybe I'm slightly jaded, but the hair animation still bugs me. It always seems to me, that if it can't be done right then don't do it. Wrap up all her hair in a pony tail and just animate that. Or show her 4 long dreads wrapped at the "joint" points so it gives the hair a reason to be a polygon....

No Wed Update?
Thursday, May 17, 2007, 08:47 AM
I was unable to get online yesterday to update, as my neighbors wireless wasn't working and I had the day off. I can't wait to get cable installed at my new place. This lack of internet is driving me nuts. I'll try and make at least 2 posts if not three today to compensate for it.

Free XBLA Game this Wed
Tuesday, May 15, 2007, 10:52 AM

Microsoft is offering American 360 owners a gift this week - and giving three of its tea boys (well, we think that's what 'intern' means) a big pat on the back. It's releasing their project, side-scrolling shooter Aegis Wing, as a free download on Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday.

Presumably, this is so it doesn't have to pay them extra.

Aegis Wing is a 2D space shooter in the classic mould, supporting up to four players either locally or over Xbox Live. Players join forces to blast their way through waves of alien Araxians using the experimental Aegis Wing spacecraft. The Aegis Wing allows them to combine their craft into formations of two, three of four ships, giving access turret fire and four super weapons. This makes us think of old cartoons, and feel jealous.

Aegis Wing was originally designed by three students - Scott Brodie, Danny Dyer and Matt Monson - during a summer internship at Microsoft. The three then worked with seasoned Live Arcade developer Carbonated Games (Uno, Hexic) to polish it up for release.

Aegis Wing will be available to download from Live Arcade this Wednesday, but only for those with North American accounts, and only for a limited time.

Head over to our Aegis Wing gallery for a closer look.

Ok now this is the type of game I get excited about. I call them R-Type clones, but I'm note sure what the original side scrolling shooter was. Then again, does it even matter? Its FREE! Go and get it tomorrow.
