Oh boy, oh boy! With the first NES game coming to the VC on the Wii, I was looking forward to playing this game again. And now with having it coming to the XBLA I can't wait. For those that haven't played this game before, it is arguably the best Ninja Turtle game there ever was.

The Japanese Virtual Console has confirmed that games for the Neo-Geo and MSX formats will be available for download on the Wii in the spring. Hold up Nintendo, you're not doing this because you've run out of games to give us on the Virtual Console already - quit trying to get new bragging rights to keep our minds off of the shitty VC games you've given us so far. When the Virtual Console was first announced I didn't think we'd have to put up with this weekly bullshit, this is starting to get annoying. Especially when we know Nintendo is getting the best profits from the next generation console sales - use your money to hurry it up.
MSX games will cost 800 Wii Points, so if you're willing to spend 8 bucks on a game you've probably never heard of before, then Nintendo will be giving you the choice between Eggy and Aleste as the first two available MSX games.

So lets home some of our other favorites from these systems hits the Wii. King of Fighters anyone? Personally I loved quite a few games on the Neo Geo and I would gladly buy some VC versions of these games.

I've been catching up on my comics lately. This series is a really enjoyable one, and seems to follow a similar setup to story lines I've loved in the past. At least you don't need to buy 6 million comics to follow the story, but it really helps if you do. It is told through the Civil War 7 comic series. But all the comics that go with it really fill out the series.
IGN's write up on the series.

Sales data reveals Xbox 360 just ahead of PS3
The Nintendo Wii sold 436,000 units in January throughout North America, according to preliminary NPD data.
The Xbox 360 sold 294,000 units during the month, with the PlayStation 3 not far behind with 244,000 units sold.
The NPD data was released by Microsoft and has not yet been officially confirmed.
"Xbox 360 had a fantastic January, and we feel great about our position in the marketplace," said Molly O'Donnell, group manager for Microsoft's entertainment and devices division.
The Xbox 360 enjoyed an 18 per cent rise in sales compared to the same period last year, when the company sold 250,000 units.

So it looks like the Wii is in first place this month. The PS3 is no longer having supply demand issues and we also see that its selling about on par with the 360. At this sale rate Nintendo might be an amazing come from behind to lead sales.
According to NexGenWars.com, the Wii has been picked to lead the console war this generation. They are also estimating that the Wii has almost half the installed base of the 360 in just 3 months vs the 18 months the 360 has had.

My recent lack of updates is due to the fact that I've just finished working two 80 hour work weeks. When some one quits when you're short staffed already, it really stresses the remaining people.Wednesday, February 21, 2007, 03:01 PM
So it looks like the 3rd movie is due out this fall. I can't be the only one who is excited about this... I mean the first movie was alright and I didn't feel ripped off when I paid my $6 to watch it in the theaters. Then the second movie hit, and I was blown away. That was a great, fun movie to watch. Not award winning by any means, but still kicked major ASS! Now with the 3rd one coming out, I'm hopinh it one ups the last one, like the second one did the first.

iPhone site claims to have the inside scoop on World of Warcraft and Apple's new handset.
by Levi Buchanan
February 9, 2007 - When Steve Jobs pulled the bombshell iPhone from his pocket at last month's Macworld, the tech sector froze in its tracks to marvel. Potentially nothing short of lightning in a bottle, the iPhone is staged to revolutionize the handset world with its sleek touch-screen technology, powerful processor, and deep storage. Touted as a portable Mac, the iPhone has the potential to play games far more complex than current cellphones.
And according to iPhone World , the handset is primed to run the most popular PC game of the last two years: World of Warcraft. The website relies on a tipster that is kept anonymous, but claims to have intimate knowledge of the iPhone's development, including its gaming capabilities.
This excerpt comes from the site:
I tried to get more on WOW but all I could get was, "Steve goes big and WOW is as big as they come when it comes to on-line games."
Should the rumor pan out, this qualifies as that oft-bandied (and oft-maligned) term "megaton." We'll see if any of the site's rumors pan out, including riffs on the Video iPod and games on AppleTV. Even if this proves ultimately false, there is certainly something to be said for the success coming to first handset manufacturer that crafts a phone capable of playing World of Warcraft.
Ok now if this pans out to be true, I'm moving to where I can get a damn iPhone. There are 15+ states that have no Cingular coverage and hence can't get an iPhone. If I can take my MMO gaming on the go like this, then you'll be damn sure I'll have my hands on one. Although the chances of it coming true are highly unlikely, it would be the most amazing announcement ever in mobile gaming.
