I haven't posted here in a long while. I'm currently working on a new blog over on my college site. James Nye's e-Portfolio can be found there for more recent updates on what I am doing. Although it is lacking any game news, do you really need yet another game blag to read? Honestly?

Assassin's Creed

I've been playing A LOT of this game. It breaks down into manageable chunks and always gives you that, "Just one more then I'll go to bed" feeling. I haven't had much time for games, but this one is really drawing me in. At first I wasn't interested in it as there were too many other games that I felt a stronger desire to play this holiday season. Then after the reviews came out, I believed myself justified in skipping over it until the slow winter months when I had finished all the other games. Then the whole Penny-Arcade vs Game Reviewers thing blew up. Gabe had urged people to try this game and justified the reviewers score by saying they rushed through it. With this comment, I decided to buy it when I picked up Mass Effect.

I must say I'm not disappointed at all. I want to write a review for my page, but I need to finish it up first as I'm climbing all the view points, saving all the citizens, and investigating all the clues before I kill the targets. I should finish it up this weekend, and I'm looking forward to a second one with more varied tasks then this one offers and no stupid flag races to get information from an informer. Give me more assassination missions where I need to plan, take out all the guards and drop from the shadows above to be the angel of death.

Almost that time...
Sunday, December 2, 2007, 07:32 PM
Here we are, approaching the end of the school year. After ignoring my blog for the past 4 months, I'll have time again to fully update it. Also for those of you EWites that are visiting from the console forum, I am going to be updating the Xbox 360 Gamercards page so that we can see everything. In the spring I will updating it into a new page that integrates with a database to track and sort all of our info so we can do EW rankings and such.
